Fiji has been shortlisted for the National Outsourcing Association (NOA) Awards 2013 Offshoring Destination of the Year.
The NOA awards event is the only award ceremony dedicated to the UK outsourcing sector and will be taking place on 24 October 2013 at the Park Plaza Riverbank in London.
Driven by demands in the outsourcing environment to offer a high quality and low cost English language alternative to established offshore locations such as India and the Philippines, Mindpearl broke with convention and opened an outsourced international contact centre in Fiji in 2009.
With increased negative publicity around overall customer experience, language barriers and a cultural disconnect in these more established locations, Mindpearl was looking for an alternative which would ensure competitive rates and reduced operational costs, without compromising on quality, customer understanding and friendliness.
This unconventional location for BPO offered the perfect complement location to Mindpearl's existing state of the art contact centre facilities in Australia, Spain and South Africa.
"Today Mindpearl services all the major English speaking markets from Fiji, including the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the US, for a number of global brands across multiple industry sectors. Fiji offers extremely cost-effective 24/7 contact centre support, without compromising on quality. This global recognition just reaffirms Mindpearl's decision to go to Fiji. This is a major win for Fiji and bodes well for further BPO investment into the country over the next 12 months," says William Pattison, CEO of Mindpearl.
NOA director, Kerry Hallard says: "2013 is a monumental year for the NOA awards, as it's our tenth anniversary, and yet again we have seen a growing number of submissions - all of outstanding quality. The shortlist truly represents the best of the best in outsourcing, and I am extremely proud to see that so many organisations clearly value the positive association of participation."
